I was fed up with pillowtop innerspring mattresses that become compressed and saggy after only a few years of use, and was looking for an alternative. I appreciate the fact that you recommended the less expensive beds and that you all were so helpful about the various options. It's clear that you care about customer happiness and put a priority on the sort of customer service that matters. Most important, however, is the bed. My niece was due to visit me in August 2010 and I was planning to take her to Las Vegas on holiday. Sleep glorious Sleep..I haven't had a good night's sleep in years. In fact, I thought I had a-top-of-the-line mattress and box spring. Yet, I would wake up numerous times during the night to either adjust my head or knee pillow to provide me with some kind of comfort and back support. Well, last night was the first night I slept on my new Axelbloom bed and frankly it was the best sleep I've had in years. The adjustable features of the system enabled me, for the first time, to sleep without a pillow between my knees. I was able to adjust my bed to my best comfort level. I have told my friends what a big difference it makes to get a good night's sleep. Two years ago I was diagnosed with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease or GERD. GERD is defined as chronic symptoms or mucosal damage produced by the abnormal reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus. In my case, I developed GERD due to a hiatal hernia. One of the recommendations from my doctor was to sleep with my upper torso elevated at least 30 degrees. At the beginning I used pillows. I found another pillow on the Internet that I used for a year, but I felt that I never had a good nights sleep. After constant neck and waist pain, my husband and I decided to look for an adjustable bed. We saw many adjustable beds but none of them offered a comfortable mattress and a beautiful design as well. After doing some research, we found Axel Bloom. Axel Bloom is a European system, with an amazing technology and a superb design. Two months ago we finally bought our bed. I am able to adjust the mattress to the perfect angle that I need. Also, I don't need to adjust it every night, because I can program it and it is in the memory of the remote control. We are very pleased with our new bed, we feel well rested every morning, I don't have any symptoms of GERD and my aches and pains have disappeared. And the bed looks beautiful in our bedroom.

I've never been able to sleep on a memory foam mattress before because I would get so hot, but with the slats in this bed that's never a problem. I am obsessed with my new bed system! Actually, I have never been one to stay in bed very long but since getting my Axel Bloom bed system, the first three nights have been an amazing experience. I got into bed for three nights in a row at 7:00 PM to watch TV and play with the different positions that the bed would go. My dogs joined me and they seemed as comfortable as I was. The way the mattress just supports your body is simply brilliant! I almost felt like there was a sedative in the system that immediate relaxed you and put you to sleep. To all who patronize this website, as one of the last original Los Angelinos, but being a mere 33 years of age, I can reflect back to just 15 years ago when mom and pop operations were the corner stone of my youth's patronage. These shops are now replaced by the all too familiar corporate logos where being able to get the same thing, the same way, in the same generic environment, consumers have been led to believe the soulless pitches of these clever neighborhood vibe busters. Beds: As an engagement present to my new bride-to-be, I was quite blessed to have the opportunity of purchasing a 500 year-old Chinese Wedding Bed from a dear friend in the Far East import business. It was between a standard full/queen size-so I went on a mission to find a custom bed worthy of my beloved antique. Tempurpedic was the first conglomerate to pop in my feeble corporate programmed consumer mind. First, I called the 1.800 number to find out what Tempurpedic was all about. "Indeed" (the gentleman on the other end of the phone said, as he explained to me the ability to customize),"for an extra fee of $300, we can certainly accomplish your needs". With this in mind, we drove down to their PREMIERE seller in our area...the beloved "Relax Your Back" store. For an establishment ready to sell you a mattress in the upwards of $6,000 or more, we were guided through a quick showroom tour by two store employees who knew about as much of their products as they would about Quantum Mechanics.

When I asked the gentleman at "Relax Your Back" about custom sizing, he said that was something I would have to accomplish after my initial purchase from the factory and could run me an additional cost of $1,000 or more. That was quite a different scenario than the earlier phone conversation with Tempurpedic - which suggested that by purchasing a Queen size mattress, I would pay an additional $300 to cut it down to the size I needed. I quickly left and again called our friends on the 1.800 Tempurpedic line. Now a new story emerged, "No sir, we do not do custom sizes". So depending on who picks up the phone on any given day, there lies your overpriced fate. Remembering a distinctly familiar ad in the Los Angeles Times, I opened the newspaper and there it was as my mind had remembered it: AXEL BLOOM. Immediately, I called their store located minutes from home and found the angelic voice of one lovely woman named Cara. To all my questions, Cara spoke the words of a consumer's dream: "yes, yes, yes, yes," and "of course." Putting down the phone with that all too infrequent feeling of "WOW, I just spoke to a wonderfully knowledgeable professional!!," my fiance and I popped over to the store and were greeted by Cara. She expertly guided us on a full tour of their product line and again reiterated that at AXEL BLOOM, anything was possible. We thanked Cara kindly and said we would mull over our options. Just as we were about to leave, this super enigmatic character blew through the door:"Good afternoon, my name is Yong." Introducing himself as the owner of this fine establishment, we raved to him about his product and how wonderful Cara was. Next, Yong personally guided us through his product line. This would mark the beginning of what would become a wonderful, and now a yearlong friendship with Yong and his family.

First off, we are now sleeping on a fully customized Austroflex system. Already having a bad back and other aches and pains, after purchasing the bed, I fractured my back from a bad fall. We recently purchased an Austrian sleep system composed of 2 twin X-long Silver Star bed bases and DW 400 mattresses from Axel Bloom and are very pleased with it. Both my husband and I found the mattresses and slat bases extremely comfortable from the fist night on. Our previous standard American king size pillow top mattress developed a ridge down the middle early on which caused me to roll away from the middle as well as causing the arm I most frequently rested to fall asleep regularly. So far I have not experienced any of these problems on our DW 400 mattresses. Also, by placing 2 twin slat bases next to each other we eliminated any energy transfer resulting in improved sleep. The memory foam pillows we purchased from Axel Bloom are easy on the neck and disperse heat much better than the standard memory foam pillows that I had used before. Mr. Yong Lee, owner of the company, was very professional and courteous and was a pleasure to work with. He took a personal interest to make sure that we would get just the right sleep components and assisted us with any questions we had.

We recently purchased a mattress from Axel Bloom. We have always slept on traditional, top-quality, name-brand coil mattresses. Our most recent coil mattress was less than a year old when we noticed a trench like dip on the top of the mattress. This 'dip' put pressure on our lower backs causing lower back pain and restless sleep. We decided to purchase a foam mattress because we heard that it did not put pressure on your joints, and it gave excellent full-body support.
